Fasting for health

1. Introduction

Fasting is a way to get rid of metabolic waste It is a "detoxification process", so called in the Natural Medicine. One day fasting is quite an easy way for beginner. It is a selfhelp process every one can look after themselves at home. Nowadays the biochemistry has discovered the "free radical" which are the major cause of many ailments. Doing fasting might be the most effective way to detoxify such free radical and rejuvenate ourselves.

2. Level of Fasting

Detoxification occurs when we fast. On that day skip from fat, meat, rice or even bread. You are allowed to take just fruits or juice, according to which level of fasting you are doing.

The level of fasting can be chosen depend on your experience. But for those beginner, monodiet fruit fasting

(Level1) is recommended.
Level 1 - Monodiet
Level 2 - Juice Fasting
Level 3 - Water Fasting
Level 4 - Dry Fasting

3. Step1: Getting start

Choose the day to fast. Usually the 11th day of lunar month every fortnight. Or you can fast on any day that you are free from working such as. on Saturday.

Prefasting meal

Early morning of the fasting day, drink a glass of orange juice and a certain amount of fruit for breakfast. Finish your fasting with the next morning breakfast.

4. Step2: Fasting

After the breakfast, just eat or drink what you are prescribed according to what level of fasting you are on. Light activities and coffee enema are suggested during the day of fasting.

Activities

Light activities allow your body and mind to rest for a full day. Reading a favourite book, painting, knitting, listen to music, chanting or even meditation are recommended. Yoga, qigong, taichi can be done to enhance detoxification process by breathing out bad prana. These light excercises keeping the mind on breathing can lead to transquility. They sag down fatigueness, give more refreshment. Sauna or herbal steam bath for a shorter period dispel toxins by perspiration. Go to bed more early.
