Fast to Cure Pimples
Pimple is not the thing
we should make a joke of or tease about.
In technical term, pimple
is a pilosebaceous follicle disease. A pilosebaceous follicle is
the combination of a hair (pilo) follicle and an oil (sebaceous)
gland. The skin folds directly inward, forming the tiny tubes (follicles)
that encase very small hairs. The deeper part of this follicle receives
the opening duct from a sebaceous gland, with the surface of the
tube opening onto the skin (what we call a pore). The sebaceous
gland produces sebum, comprises of oil and fat, which lubricates
the hair and makes up a part of the oily phase of the hydrolipidic
film.
Acne appears when sebaceous
gland and cell wall produce excess sebum causing oiliness to the
skin thoroughly. Normally, the cell wall shed at certain time and
sebum disperses them through the skin. When acne is formed, these
cells are trapped and create a plug in the pore.
If you have been having
pimples for quite a while, you must have been trying to treat it
by running to drugstores and buy acne treatment products on the
advertisements. But when you started to use them, you realized they
are not effective. Then, you went to consult with the skin doctor
which cost you a fortune.
Have you ever noticed
that when your pet is not feeling very well they do not go anywhere
but lie down until recover from illness? They probably refuse to
eat for a day or a week. They fast until they get back to their
normal state. The reason why you do not feel like eating when you
are ill is because your body warns you to stop eating. This is the
warning from nature.
"Give back your
body to nature and nature will take care of you."
To fast is just like
other things we have done. We have to learn it step by step. You
can't climb the mountain by beginning in the middle. It is unlikely
to succeed in fasting and forming the right eating habit in one
day. If you start to fast for a long period for the first time,
you might get sick and decide to quit because you think it makes
you sick. Actually, the cause of your sickness comes from toxin
in your body. It is not because of fast.
You will feel a great
change when you start to skip breakfast but eat the other meals
as usual. After finish dinner at 6 o'clock, you should start to
eat again around 10-11 am. This is called limited fast which is
to prepare the body for all-day fast.
The principle of breakfast
fast is that normally our stomach is empty for 10-12 hours which
is the period after dinner until next breakfast. This duration is
similar to the time of fast. Our body excretes toxins during this
period. However, the process will completely stop as soon as we
eat breakfast the next day. Therefore, skipping breakfast will help
to extend the time of detoxification to 15 hours.
For the first few days
of fast, you might have a headache. This is because toxins are being
driven into blood in order to excrete them from the body. This kind
of headache is the same as when we stop eating sugar, drinking coffee
or tea, or having some chemical substances in food.
Sugar is like drug in
general drugstores. However, if you do not think it is, at least
try to avoid eating it for one week. If you are having a habit of
drinking coffee or tea in the morning, it is not necessary to quit
that. But you can start eating solid food after 10 or 11 am. It
could be a piece of fruit but not sweet baked flour like donut,
toasted bread or egg. For lunch, you can have salad with 1 slice
of wholewheat bread. This will make you feel light and better. If
you want to get rid of caffeine by stop drinking coffee or tea,
you can turn to something beneficial like herbal tea, lemon juice
with honey.
To change the habit
of eating in the morning you have to do it gradually to avoid hurting
your body. It is going to take quite a while to adjust to a new
habit. Caffeine has drug effect. Therefore, you might have similar
symptom like when you stop eating sugar. Don't be panic. You will
feel better before long.
After stop breakfast
for one week or longer than that, you can start to fast for 24 or
36 hours. You can choose to fast from one morning until next morning
or from evening. It is up to you. Bear in mind, the most important
thing is do not eat anything for 24 hours and drink only clean water.
After feeling comfortable with 24 hours-fast, you can now start
to set the day to fast for each week permanently. For the other
days, eat 1-2 pieces of fruit before go to work or to school and
eat again 1 hour before lunch.
Always remember that
having 3 meals a day is not necessary or natural thing. Lots of
people are in good health although they eat only 1 or 2 meals a
day by eating fruits and fresh vegetable for snacks. Many people
with acne are getting better after they stop breakfast. They do
not have to change any other meals. This will take time but it is
worth it and proves that having big breakfast is not always good
for everyone and can even ruin your health.
