Green Tea

Green tea is a popular beverage spreading over many parts of the world, a good example that shows advertising power of this century. Many people thought of that green tea is a magic medicine that heals anything.

Green tea is beneficial to health , isn’t it? Let’s take a close look up for it’s history.The legend of green tea started from scientific conference, the meeting conferred by a Cancer Research Institute all over the world in 1997 to find the factors that precipitate and resist cancer in human . Each country sent few scientists to attend this conference, but Japan sent over10 people and nominated green tea as a substance that could resist cancer.

At the end of this meeting, Japanese scientists successfully voted green tea for it’s place in the list of anticancer substance and made it popular since then.

However one fact that green tea beverage manufacturers never tell us is the amount of green tea intake to resist cancer. To have enough active ingredient, the anticancer group call Catechins, we have to drink green tea up to about 10 cups per day. Drinking green tea that much will cause problems because you will receive not only Catechins but also receive lots of Caffeine and Tannin too. With these amount of Caffeine and Tannin will certainly cause palpitation, constipation, insomnia and urination.

It does not mean that Japanese researchers lied to you. Green tea can resist cancer as it was claimed but you must take in a form of green tea extract that draw exclusively Catechins.

All of all, you don’t have to commit yourself to one and only anticancer product called green tea, because there are so many kind of anticancer agent in the world for you to choose, for example vitamin A-betacarotine, C-complex, E , Selenium ,and some of herbs that are even better than green tea.

These substances you can find in Thai food, you can find them in vegetables, fruits and brown rice. Therefore, if we compare between green tea consumers but take junk-food and healthy food consumersbut no green tea, the later group will have less cancer risk.

If you would like to have good health, you should take care of yourself such as, eating suitably, exercising regulary. Do not depend on just one product, but depend on holistic health.
