from Milk
Protein in milk is not
so plentiful. A glass of milk has 8.5 gm. of protein, a glass of
soy milk has 7 gm. One drumstick of chicken ( 100 gm.) has 18.8
gm. So there are many other protein sources better than milk.
About calcium, there
are many more calcium sources available in tropical food. Cow milk
(100 gm.) has 118 mg. Black sesame has 14 times better in calcium.
Beans and vegetables also supply plenty of calcium. One serving
of tofu (100gm.) have 250 mg. calcium.
10.Milk is not the
answer for combating osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis does not
occur simply from low calcium consumption. There are many more factors
ie. sedentary lifestyle, non exposure to sunlight, taking anticalcium
absorption drugs or food such as antacid, coffee or tea, aluminium
canned softdrink, eating excess protein, dropping down of sex hormone
etc.
11.Milk precipitates
osteporosis.
One who takes exces
protein lost more body calcium through urination. People nowadays
take too much protein, so drinking more milk precipitate calcium
lost.
The ideal calcium to
be consumed should have calcium : phosphorus ratio at 2:1. Breast
milk is a good one having 2.35:1 ratio. Cow milk has 1.27:1 ratio.
Such a high phosphorus content will stimulate parathormone secretion,
which end up with calcium dissolving from our long bone.
12."Big" bodybuilt
means "Strong" , a fake fairy tale of drinking milk.
Since the ancient time,
Thai nationality do not have a small body built like Japanese guys.
The anthopology study at Banchiang disclosed that Thai ancestors
had a bodybuilt of 170 cm. High.
Another reason is, Big does not mean Strong anymore. The standard
requirements for fitness of the new millionium are: 1) Cardio
-vascular fitness 2) Immunity fitness 3) Antioxidants fitness.
A bigger bodybuilt by drinking milk may cause higher risk of
heart disease, allergy which are not match up with the fitness
13.Cow's milk does not suitable for the development of human baby.
The delelopment of every creatures have their own unique. A calve weight 40 kg. has to grow to 900 kg. within 2 years. Human baby weight 2.8 kg. grows slowly to 50 kg. within 18 years. Human development stress on brain growing with a suitable medium sized body structure. Breast milk is the most suitable for baby feeding. After that, natural food like wholemeal, fruit and vegetables, some amount of protein source and essential fat are the natural body requirement.
14.Dairy farm products prone to contaminated with pesticide, antibiotics and hormone, also burden the environment.
In order to get a good cultivation, dairy cattles have to take hormones promoting growth and fertilization, antibiotics treating mastitis, pesticides and antifungul agents. Kids grown so big after years of taking milk, may be the fruitful results of contaminated hormone instead of nutritional substances taken.
15.Drinking milk policy is not compatible with the "self sufficient economy".
Nowadays, milk and dairy products have to be imported. Milk consumption in nation wide means the waste of so much money, this will precipitate the Thai economic crisis. On the other hand, dairy farm in Thailand is confronting a great obstracle. Eventhough we have the milk promoting policy for school children, but milk from domestic dairy farms cannot compete with the price of imported skim milk.
